So heres my next project, its a 50mm tee golf ball cannon with an 80mm chamber that I'm cutting off my 80mm sprinkler gun, Ive also taken Its sprinkler to use as the pilot. The piston will probably be a 32mm coupler filled with glue like my other one but I'll see how it goes, It's housing will be the inside of this weird hexagonal faucet adapter I found which is the same width as 50mm PN18 so It glues straight into the tee which makes a lot less pilot volume than a normal faucet adapter.

The ETA for this gun is about 1 week, but I should be able to get it going soon with the plug, ball valve and piston from my 50x25 coax to test it. The new 50x25 and 25x15 coax guns are working great I just need to get some video so I can post them in the pneumatic showcase.

The barrel of this new gun will have to be shortened to maybe 1.2m unfortunately cos I need to be able to fit it in my car boot, but I may put a barrel union or something similar just after the tee so I can have more barrel length and interchangeable barrels. I'll test it shooting at layers of wood or something before and after the barrel shortening to see if theres much difference.

It's going to look good done, are you going to paint it?

Look out when you fire it for the first time, the sprinkler valves can be very loud when used for porting and you hold it close to your head

I might suggest loosing the small section of hose though,it deceases the ever important power.

Are you planning to fill that chamber with a bike pump?If so have fun with that haha.

Yah I'll definately paint it, even though Ive been very careful about primer stains this time the chamber I'm using from the sprinkler one is black so it would look a bit weird if I didn't.

I'll make the hose as short as I can, so like 4cm, Ide rather have the blowgun tapped straight into the sprinkler but the hose tap is already epoxied and that so I'll just leave it, maybe the shock absorption of the hose will make the gun stay more still when u pull the trigger 8)

Ive been filling that chamber with a steel floor pump for the last 6 months and havnt had a problem it takes about 20 seconds, Ive got a little compressor but that takes 2 minutes

True to my prediction It's a week later and this gun is finished! The testing went amazingly well, theres been a lot of people around these last few days so I havnt tested it with a golf ball yet but I pumped it to 20PSI in my room with a massive blanket on top of the muzzle, It gave a deafening thump and rattled all the windows even at 20PSI, I remember the sprinkler cannon at 20PSI and it definately was nothing like this, so I'm predicting this gun to have some serious range, I'm hoping for 350-400 meters but the trouble will be finding a park that long to shoot at. :D

Don't you mean 'ours' I've had more input into that gun of yours than you yourself... so it should be perfect then :P

Well I'll leave it up to them... I cant really see it offending anyone tho, its just a bit of fun, I also wouldnt really class that as a drug :D
