My Latest Pnue- The Patriarch
Ok everyone, here is my latest project i have been working on.
I have so named it 'The Patriarch' because i see it as the daddy of my cannons haha. Hope you enjoy!
SPECS
VALVE: Modded 2inch Rain Bird Sprinkler valve
CHAMBER/STOCK: various 40mm pressure rated pvc joints (about 45cm in total length)
TRIGGER: 1/4inch ball valve
BARRELS: Golf Ball/Spud barrel- 55cm of 2inch PRPVC
Bolt Action Ping Pong/Spud Barrel- 90cm of 2inch PRPVC with 40mm internal barrel
Triple Marble/Paintball Barrel- Consists of three 1m x 15mm PRPVC barrels inside a 25cm x 2inch pvc sleeve
By far my favorite barrel would have to be the triple shot, I really enjoyed making it and it is excellent to shoot with. As I said in this link (http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/triple- ... 14121.html) marbles i shoot distances of around 25m hit consistently in a 30cm spread.
The 2inch sprinkler valve I was given was surprisingly easy to mod, all that was needed to be done was fill the solenoid space with epoxy putty and replace the middle screw rod with a 1/2inch brass fitting (which threaded in perfectly)
Anyways if you have any questions I will be happy to answer them. Hope you like the pics!

Hehe, I like your triple barrel idea! Gotta make me one of those someday (If only we had cheap PVC around here... But maybe copper then)
And that valve is huge
I bet it has some serious power even though I like pistons more.
Even color of your valve is far better than those ugly light green ones.
Simple and clean construction!

I like it
nice job
although I think you should put a much larger chamber on it so you can really put that 2in sprinkler to use.

Wow, just wow. I'm sure many people, like me, would like the model number of that sprinkler valve. And as bigbob12345 said a larger chamber should be added. Other than that... Beautiful.

amesome job mate!
you should buy one big a$$ chamber and a even longer 2" barrel for it!
think of the power you can get out of that valve if you use it on a large scale gun

The Chamber Barrel ratio seems pretty bad from what I could tell.
But the cosmetics and design are really sick, the tri barrel is awesome.

I'm thinking that the "price was right" on that sprinkler valve. (given to him)
Nicely done. Clean and simple.

Very sweet looking gun there. The "trip" barrel does have a mean look to it...I may have to investigate as an option for myself.
As others have said, you could have used more air capacity in your tank..really depends on the mass of what you're shooting though.
Also, while I'm sure the trigger performs well, it's a little exposed and could get beat up or knocked off or worse, damage that beautiful 2" valve from leverage alone. Is there anyway to pipe it up out of the way some?
Overall good job!

Starman does bring up a good point about the ball valve being vulnerable...
Very cool to see that triple barrel get used with such a valve. Try a bigger chamber and get some damage shots man!

Thats a nice cannon you have there, love the tri barrel.
Though if possible I would use a blowgun rather than a ballvalve, and add a larger chamber
But besides that this cannon is sweeeeeeeeeet.

Edit: It seems that Twitch read my mind and said it was "Sweeeeeeet" before I could. :lol:XxtriviumxX wrote:Thats a nice cannon you have there, love the tri barrel.
