I will not knock open the hammer.There would be no point.
I need the hammer to knock open the valve.

For the air vs water hijack:
Just take things literally:
psi -> pounds per square inch
It doesnt matter what it is, but 500 pounds of force on a square inch area is indifferent to what gas or liquid you use.

Just tried a new spring between the pin and the phram, so I don;t need an external spring for the pin.This means it is now again compacter.
I got about 20 good firings out of a 500 gr paintballtank, filled to "only"25 bar of air.And a lot of puffs..
Not that they were all powerfull enough for my taste, but still.
The restricted flow from the reservoir (PB tank) probably upped the number of shots, but gave them less force.
I'll need to get fittings and build my own reservoir, preferably 1.25"
Pretty sure I can get it to form an ergonomic "sawed-off" style lever action gun, at least capable of 5-6 very powerful shots.
Think "terminator II"

It's a new generation of sawed off by BTB and it's short for
"Bad to the Bone"
wich is also a song from the Terminator II movie.

does anyone have diagram or anything of a hammer valve? How from what I have read they seem very tricky to machine, but you guys seem to be making them fairly easily, so I was wondering what your trick is. I have searched the forums to no avail, though I remember seeing some hammer valves somewhere on here.

1/2" to 1/4"reducer ( metal ofcourse).
Take a bolt with a head the size it WON'T go through with a head shaped like : \/
All you need now is a rubber washer for the seal and a spring and nut to keep the bolt in place.

Can you be sligtly more specific? Like a diagram or somthing? I have been wondering about these for a while (and a google didnt turn up anything) What does a hammer valve do?

It's basically an object blocking a hole, wich can be opened by pushing or knocking that object away from the hole.
Maybe you are familair with car tire valves?
That is the same in principle.If the stem was sticking out a little more it could be hammered. ( it still can, just not as easy)

Ohhhhh That is a really good idea for say a coper. I could use it and the main valve? Like a finger trigger? Or is it called a hammer valve for a reason...?

I made a crude body and a hammer out of plywood, weighted by a thick brass fitting at the top.
It looks like hell, but it works!!
A spring smacks the hamer into the hammer valve.The trick is , when the hammer is in rest position, it doesn't push the valve.It only knocks open the valve by ongoing momentum.
The spring is just too short to push the hammer onto the valve.
Now to make it look good.Both the hammer-valve set up functions and I've already once made a falling block reloader.
So now I need to combine those wto in a good way.
I'm thinking hard wood stock/body and metal moving parts.
I've got work to do.
Also I need a bigger chamber for more shots!!
