If not made well they can be very unreliable and have a tendency to break
I think if you use commercial check valves it is fool proof, but i have never made one.

The commercial check valves are rated to 150psi :roll:
Not suitable for a high pressure pump in my opinion

A longer barrel can help performance by an unbelievable margin, not just in accuraccy but in power

Mcmaster have ones that go up to 3000 psi... Item: 8549T21

Making your own wouldnt cost more than 5

The ones that are rated to 500 psi are like less than 10 bucks so i think would use them instead though.
