Ok, I am currently using a 3/4" QEV on my marble rifle. My question is this: Would it be worth it to dismantle my marble rifle to create a larger bore cannon? I have a 10' section of 1.5" SDR 21 and if i do make a new cannon, it will most likely be a golfball cannon. I dont have much experience with QEVs, so I don't want to end up ripping apart my old cannon to build a weaker, more expensive one. Any thoughts/tips will be greatly appreciated.

3/4 Qev would have a hard time driving 10 feet of 1.5" pipe. Get one of the ASCO 1.5" valves

I think it would be worth it, I have a 3/4" QEV on my tennis ball cannon (2.5" x 45" barrel, and a 1.25" x 10' barrel) and it has decent performance, so you shouldn't have any issues with a 1.5" barrel.

with a 10 foot barrel it would most defiantly not be worth it. a QEV is great for getting a rush of air for a relatively short barrel, but with the port being roughly half the size of the intended barrel, i think you would be disappointed.

at 10 feet a simple ball valve would probably give the same results.

if you are going to ignore me and proceed anyway, at least use two of them to make it slightly better.

it would also work better if you had a 3/4'' barrel.

Haha, I probably should've mentioned that I am not planning on using the whole thing. The barrel will most likely be in the area of 4'. Thanks for the feedback guys.

I recommend building a 2 or 3 (maybe 2,5) inch piston valve with 1,5" porting, use the QEV as a pilot.
That will grant you the most power.

Well i can easily build a 1.5" porting piston valve, but isn't a 3/4" QEV a little overkill as a pilot valve? I was thinking about building a separate gun using a 1/4" QEV as a pilot.

It's not like 3/4" QEVs are horribly expensive. Just buy another and have both guns.

A 3/4" QEV is just a very good pilot for your piston valve. Note that the piston diameter should be 2" or more.
