You can actuate it with a 1/2" barrel, anything bigger might even be too much.
You just have to have a piston that fits almost perfect.

I know I've seen piston valves that pilot on just a schrader; for some reason my 2" piston valve did this once :shock: (It had sucky power though :wink: ) I'd give the schrader a go.

For the sealing face, I recently found these little washers at Home Depot that are metal with a neoprene face on one end. I recently upgraded my piston valve with one of these, and it seals great!
Have you ever made a epoxy casting if you did you would know that taking a blowtorch to it ruins it don't use solder then a epoxy casting is present use epoxy.

I have a half inch CHAMBER on my Marker Gun and it works I find if you have a slightly loose fitting piston than smearing on a thick cote of vaseline makes i work for a while until you need to put on more. another reason why you should make it servicable.
You can use a shrader to pilot the piston just make the pilot volume small and adjustable... by making it servicable. I trashed mmy first marker gun due to not being serviceable BTW you don't have to use a male and female fitting you could use a union too.

Well, I haven't used epoxy in it (I'm terrible with the stuff) so I used gorilla glue. But yeah, that probably won't stand up to a blowtorch either come to think of it :( . Could try squishing bike tube between it or silicon sealant...
