Not exactly a cannon, but it involves compressed gases and is still incredibly cool!
I may just have to build my friend one of those... (she lives in a sketchy part of town and has a habit of wandering around at night )

Do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come;

Fork in hell, that looks incredibly cruel if you had to use it on something living.

It seems like it would be used you put gass bubbles in the blood streem, interesting.
You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

That's what syringes are for - this will splatter the bloodstream all over the roomSticky_Tape wrote:It seems like it would be used to put gas bubbles in the blood stream

No I mean putting co2 into the blood stream should imobilize whatever it is inserted into correct?

love that showCasinoVanart wrote:Dexter style....
That would cause an air embolism, however in this case the insertion of gas is so violent that it would be a lot more catastrophic than a simple bubble reaching the heart. No I mean putting co2 into the blood stream should imobilize whatever it is inserted into correct?

This was found on there site it says a air bubble the size of a bb can kill you: Hunting
For many years I have spent time in the remote back woods as a rock and ice climber. I have seen bear, bobcats, mountain lions, and many other potentially dangerous animals.
In years past, I have armed myself with a handgun. In todays world though, carrying a firearm into remote areas is not acceptable and in some cases even illegal. I see many people going into the back country who are oblivious to the dangers that they could potentially be facing. These people don't realize that once you enter the wild you become part of the food chain.
Carrying a regular knife is useless against a bear or similar predator, but the WASP with its massive injection of compressed gas is devastating to mammals of any size.
Have you ever seen a doctor administer an injection. Before injecting the medicine into the patient, the doctor makes sure to remove all air bubbles. Why? Because a bubble the size of a BB can cause a blockage and kill you.
Now, imagine injecting 40-80 cu. in. of gas in to something. Not only will the presence of gas in the system cause extreme trauma, but the sub-zero temperature of the gas will also freeze any surrounding tissues and be devastating.
So before you go on your next backwoods hike be sure to pick up a WASP Injection Knife!

I am not sure of your question, anything apart from blood is bad in the bloodstream.Sticky_Tape wrote:No I mean putting co2 into the blood stream should imobilize whatever it is inserted into correct?

This is compressed C02- It'll cause your blood vessels to explode like bubble wrap.
That is, of course, assuming you keep a firm grip on it...and I wouldn't use it as a self-defense weapon, you'll get your ass in jail pretty quick.

It's dumping a c02 sparklet into you a couple of inches in.
Whatever is immediately around the vent point will be frozen solid and then theres the 800psi gas blast to screw up your internal organs. Or or make a hell of a messy spray in a limb.
You'd be utterly screwed over if some git stuck that in you.
Not that you'd be too happy if a normal knife got you in the central body mass but at least they don't have something approximating an explosive part to them.
