muffin- nope, the arrows on the valve are pointing towards the barrel. I also tried to seat the diaphragm in without pushing it in, same problem.

Is this the part where I get a new valve? make a new diaphragm?

This is weird. Ive never heard of this.

I would say new valve. But then again, i dont know if you did everything as perfect as you say you did. You could have made a mistake without realizing it.

when you modded it, the white nipple in the middle of the diaphragm is not able to raise, to fix it simply file down the ridges around the nipple until it fits into whatever you used to connect your blowgun... BTW what did you use to connect your blowgun to the valve? just a threaded nipple? or did you use a reducer and a nipple? a reducer with a nipple is what i have now used several times, and it will cause the problem ive suspected... pictures would really help

I hadnt even though of that dax. In most tutorials it will tell you not to screw the nipple in further than the plastic. What dax had described is the reason why.

dax-Thanks alot man, that was the problem. I just ditched the 1/8" nipple and reducer, and replaced them with a 1/4" closed nipple. The cannon is working great now. I will post the cannon in the pneumatic showcase once it gets a nice paint job.

Just a teaser- with the 3'x 3/4" barrel at 100psi, it shoots completely through 1/2"ply AND 2 layers of steel roofing sheet metal.

YESSS!!! glad I could help you get your gun to work, I look forward to seeing it in the showcase. At some point in the near future I'm gonna add a lot to the showcase, ive been too busy building to post a lot, I'm also gonna write a good tutorial on how to improve efficiency of a regularly modded sprinkler valve, i coined the name "super-modded" for my valve... and it works with my portable pump-rifle, which the description does it no justice...
