I just thinked of that:
Why no make a sort of sharp hammer that will break the burst disk?
The hammer will be actuated by an sort of spring powered system actuated by an trigger.
This sort of valve will use raw power of burst disk and it will blow when you want it to.
Hammer actuated burst disk
Been done before, and it works nicely too, just need to find the link.

Oh yea you can just tell by the recoil of the cannon when you watch the videos.
And its actually a pneumatic ram, not a hammer, but i know what you guys mean. So i still think you should try doing what mark said. It would be nice to own one, but i got other plans.

Nhaaaa...
I dont have neough money left to buy the parts for a gun like this(in canada, a 4 inch pvc sch40 pipe cost 20$ by foot)
I am currently thinking of an "paintball bow piston"
A sort of bow actuating an piston and a barrel at the end.
Simply a single acting pneumatic cylinder, you let air in to force the piston and the rod one way then when you let the air out a spring hauls the piston and rod back to where it was.FeLeX wrote:My biggest qeustion is how did he get the hammer to go back to its original position??
Oh and it was a broadhead arrow he was using, not really a hammer type thing
