I have always been interested in spud guns, but I have only made those little pill bottle combustion guns.
I want to make my first air powered gun a sniper rifle, but I need help. All I know is how to make the breech loader for it from looking at the "random canons". How should I make everything else?

Hmm... I have some questions for you.

1. Do you want a large bore a small bore cannon? (This depends mostly on your air source. If your using a bike pump you should go with a small bore.)
2. What kind of valve are you going to use? (I would recommend a sprinkler valve since it is your first.)
3. Have you done any research? A little research would help you a lot.

Be a little more descriptive so we can help you a little more.

Click on the "cannons"showcase button at the top of this page and then choose pneumatics once you get there. Therein lies all of the pneumatics ever posted at Spudfiles and many of them are "sniper" models.

Welcome to Spudfiles.

I have an air compressor.
I was planning on using a sprinkler valve with one of those trigger things.
I have looked at 4 or 5 breech loaders and semi auto canons, and I watched an episode of "Systm" where they built one.

as to the original poster, in case you havent been there yet, go here:
http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/modding ... -t305.html

and the "trigger things" are called Blow Guns. Just in case you are searching for them in the store and ask a clerk for a "trigger thing". Found near the air compressor accessories in the tool section of Home Depot.

I would definitely suggest a modded sprinkler valve as your main valve. Things to know-
1-Modding sprinkler valves is extremely easy

2-The only difference between most brands' 1" and 3/4" valves are the size of the threads on each side, other than that, same

3-when you mod your valve be sure to plug the tip of the equilizer on the underside of the top part of the valve if you are going to pour epoxy into the solenoid spot (that's the mistake I made)
