Read my posts again John. I didn't say you had to build a PVC cannon... In fact, I'm encouraging you to build a metal cannon...ie. Poland's advice.

Just because you may use a qev or a sprinkler valve in your cannon doesn't mean you can't take pride in it. After all someone else made that hammer valve you have.

I'll say it again. Find a common cannon design, metal in your case, that is straight forward to build and uses parts that are relatively easy to obtain where you live. Also, it's not a crime to order a part you might need. Part of your frustration is that you are designing beyond your experience right now.

I made the hammer valve, so no, no one made the valve i am using. I will do just as you said, i will do my best with the materials available but, i hope this does not anger you, but i will try to stay as close to my main idea as possible, this has to be my gun and not some one elses, it is my pride but i could not forgive my self if i rebuilt some one elses gun and nothign in the world can change that way of thinking. Thank you for your advice, i will do my best to listen to it and i will look for other ideas which i could use maybe another trigger would be good but i do want to use my hammer valve, after all i made it already and it is waiting to be used. Thank you once more and i will soonyl make a new thread to show you what i am doing, step by step and like that you can always comment and stop be from making any too large mistakes. I will supply diagrams of what i am planning to do for the next step and like that i hope i will make a nice gun, thank you for your help once again.

 Anger?...surely you jest sir. You aren't "angering" me in the least. Just advising you is all. An unfortunate side effect of today's "non-confrontational" PC education system...anything seen as criticism or old fashioned advice is viewed as anger.

I work in industries that require one to be truthful and constantly offer constructive ideas and criticism. That's the way you do things better. So I'm used to offering and receiving it without taking things personally.

Since your hammer valve is homemade, it will probably make it more difficult to find your trigger solution...you'll just have to home make that as well....

That is the reason i made it in the first place. and there are people who get angered by people not following their advice 100%. I will build the trigger system first to check if it works and i will make some pics with my moms nikon camera(no one can complain about the quality then). give me a few days, i gotta help a dumped friend out...(it sucks if you get into these things...).

you are a pole (in a way) so I feel responsible for explaining you some things first...

I started lurking this forum about 2 or 3 years ago... my first spud gun was a very crude combustion made form a 1" tee, one endcap, an aluminum barrrel and several other fittings.... there was one thing about that gun that I liked - it worked...
then I switched to pneumatic guns... I built my first pneumatic gun several weeks after becoming a father and then I build my fridge compressor (acctually I found a site for RC planes enthusiasts... there was an article explaining how to convert a fridge pump into a compressor that can be used for painting... so yeah it wasn't original in any way) ... then I realized that I have to switch to a QEV valve to improve performace... it toke me some time to find it really cheap and when I finally bought it I was the happiest man in the world...

after having some fun with a high pressure QEV gun and after upgrading and modifying it I decided that I have to build a semi auto QEV cannon...

it was almost a year ago... during that time I finished my college and now I work so I have enough funds to finish my project (which I hope to finish this year )

my advice is - start with something relatively easy... if everything is so pricey in switzerland then use malleable iron fittings.... their main advantage is that they can be reused.... if you want good performance then start with a qev valve...

don't write post that does not make any sense.... other members spend their precious time giving you advices but you never listen to them...

it does not mean that you cannot do something new but whether you like it or not you can't reinvent the wheel... listen to more experienced members... build something simple then yoou can try to build something more advanced

That is the reason i love poland and its peopel thank you. I have made the following decision: I will buy a QEV and i will make my hamme rvalve trigger system, i will make my gun so i can interchange them, that is not that hard(a few tapered holes and finished). The hammer valve will be just to see if it works, the QEV so that i have a working gun. For now this is all, I will show you my finished trigger system.
