Valve question

I was wondering if filling a piston valve would increase the valve's efficiency. Below is a link of the simulated valve. I thought that the released gas would have less area to expand and push the projectile with greater force. Please comment on the valve, like the possibility of making it better or if it has flaws, and thank you for any thoughts.

Well you haven't design the common piston valve, I think the least of your worries is filling the volume inside the tee. Your design is also a chamber sealing valve, so filling the area with epoxy as shown in the picture will improve performance but it'd be too much of a hassle for your configuration.

That o-ring is doing nothing where it is, it needs to move to the base of the piston and seal with the brass fitting. The brass fitting also needs to extend more into the tee to give the piston support.

Pretty much all you are doing is decreasing dead space. Why do you want to make a chamber sealing valve anyway?
