Semi-Auto Plans (in development)

These are my plans for a semi-auto battery launcher that's in development at the moment, but if the friendly people of SpudFiles will help my work out the kinks in my design I'll get it build and online.

First, I really don't know what I want the gun to look like (e.g. Rifle, SMG, etc.). But I have the magazine pretty down pat, as you'll see in the diagrams below. But I need some help with:
The attachment that goes on your air compressor's hose to hook on a schrader valve.
The size of pipe that an AA battery could slide down side ways.
And a basic idea of the most efficient layout of the spud gun.

Second, wait what... I forgot, but other than than the questions above, do you think this is going to work?

its not really semi auto...
its more of a magazine design don't you think ?
it would work if you got all the measurements correct.
the most efficient layout of a gun is to have it "inline"
so all the components are in a straight line, this eliminates elbows and anything else that could restrict airflow when the gun is fired.
hope it helps

Could work, but why not just make a square magazine, and attach it to the pipe via large(r) rectangular metal trough attached to the barrel, then some form of latch to secure it.

then a little tip, it would be better if made into a bolt action.

Could you further explain this? I'm really not sure what you're trying to say through your diagram.

From this, all I can guess is that you plan on firing your batteries with a REALLY brief squeeze of the trigger. Which is kind of cheating to call semi auto.
