Updated Pictures of schmanman's 18 foot pneumatic.

I recently repainted it. It is pictured here with the 10' long, 3" diameter barrel, the 15' long 4" diameter barrel, and the 15' long, 2" diameter barrel. I cut off the two 6' long, 4" diameter air chambers, and replaced them with two 5' long,6" diameter chambers. It turned out great.for the original post ,damage pictures, and more on its construction, valve, ect. ,go to the given link. http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtop ... b622ce7b8d .

This is a picture of me under the cannon.I am standing right under the barrel. keep in mind I am 5'10" tall. The very tip of the barrel is 8-10 feet in the air.the barrel in this picture is the 18' long, 4" diameter one

The picture above shows the 2" diameter barrel (on the gun), the 3" diameter barrel (the shorter one,on the ground), and the 4" diameter barrel, (the biggest one, laying on the ground)

i remember watching swat and they had that cannon that you shoot a grapple into a wall, then tear the house down.

you should try for the sound barrier, good luck, and get some helium

Why didn't you just add the pictures of the painted cannon onto your old posts, are you going for a posting record? Also, why did'nt you just have the chamber on the ground as a base and tilt the barrel?

pimpmann22 please dont delete this post
atlantis,I'll answer all your questions for you.
1 Why didn't you just add the pictures of the painted cannon onto your old posts?
answer:
on the forum rules, they state to keep it below 10 pictures per post. these would put it way over the limit,so I started this thread. Why do you care?
2. are you going for a posting record?
answer:
no,and as far as I can tell, from under your "signiture" ,you've got me beat by over 100 posts
3.why did'nt you just have the chamber on the ground as a base and tilt the barrel?
answer:
because in order to move this around,I need wheels, and the stand on the front (folding banquet table legs) folds up so I can lay it down on the ground, level,so I can shoot it at stuff. If I had used the chambers as the stand and layed them on the ground, and angled the barrel up, I
A.could not have transported it by myself
and
B.would have had to angle the valve up, which then would have made it so I could'nt shoot it at stuff with out propping the back up with a ton of stuff to level it out.
these things would have made portibility almost non-existent ,and it would be nowhere near as versitile.
atlantis, please try to be nice :D this is the second or third time you've been negative to me in one of my posts.

Ummmmm why would I delete your post???

Atlantis what is the deal with ripping on him? Your post puzzles me. Schmanman, I do not disagree with your reply seeing as Atlantis post was not to contribute or better the forum, and appeared to be a worthless post.

You wouldn't notice much, if any, increase in preformance with that valve if you upgraded it from the current pilot valve to a 2" sprinkler.

For my birthday,I got a 15 gallon,6.5 cfm @ 40 psi and 5.5 cfm @90 psi compresser. it goes up to 150 psi max.

when you fill all the way to 150 psi, then hook it up to the gun,It litterally fills the whole thing to 90 psi in 3/4 of a minute to 1 minute. I've shot for distance, but olny up to 30 psi. At that pressure,With headwind,it still shot 400-500 yards (I mesured it with google earth). I've now brought it up to 90 psi to shoot it at stuff. WOW!!!!! It kicked,oh,6 feet. And , I use the compressor with air tools in my workshop. :D
