Dual reserve design - can it work?

Hey guys,

I was thinking for a while about building my first gun, and thought up a design like this:

This is how I envisioned it working: Let air into the small reserve from the main reserve via the ball valve, then shut off the ball valve and fire your projectile with the air in the small reserve via the sprinkler valve, that way you wouldn't need to use all the reserve air so you could get a few shots off.

It seemed like it could work theoretically, but after speaking with a few members I realized its impractical because I probably won't get that many extra shots out of it, but just to set the record straight, you could get at least 2 shots off (firing a marble) with this design, right?

Thanks for your time!

I mean, you could get a few shots off, but every shot would get progressively weaker, and by a lot. I would hazard a guess that you might get 2-3 good shots from that, depending on the chamber 1 and chamber 2 size. If youu want a more efficient repeater design, you should look into a hammer valve.

Yes. It will work.

The power will drop off after each shot, depending on the size of the chambers.

If you have a bit of money to spend, invest in one of these as your pirmary chamber and your multishot prospects will be much improved ;)
