yer if it doesn't work out ill go 3way, i don't mind making the hammer valve or at lest mod a blow gun

have pics or the hammer

wow that looks good... is it from a real firearm/air gun ?

nar i made it today i copyed it from the insides of a cap gun the toy gun was plastic and not heavy or strong enough to use

Nice hammer you've got there.

Effectively the same as on my B2TB breakbarrel gun.

When you get the rat-trap-spring, the coil goes over the axle of the hammer, one end should hook into the hammer, the other should be locked by the main body.

I'm looking forward to this project.

You could use my newly discovered bolt.
It locks itself, yet can be opened with a single pull...

I plan on using that design much more often now..

Lol I couldn't do that to my QEVs, I won't perforate their pistons.. they are way too young for that... as you can guess law is a bit different in the Netherlands
Ha Ha Ha Ha ..... I bet you take care of your Qev's with the upmost love and care !!!

So What is the chamber for the Vented / pilot gas for ? Does it have something to do with back pressure ??

So i know theres not a lot of Volume from the pilot but Do You think at 400psi the vented pilot gas would be enough to recycle a bolt ??

@ -_- Very nice trigger man !! i've just started the same thing as you , bought a cap gun and copy the internals
(only got the hammer done so far  )

It should work perfectly hoping you can find the right spring !!

Keep us informed and good luck :D

In Austria they keep them in basements for 18 years

yep, no doubt about it. The only question is -> how well would the QEV work and how big the chamber for vented air has to be?

anyway.. have a look here -> http://www.wisc-online.com/objects/View ... ID=HYP4807 and see how 3 way valves work... that how both this design could work and how the semi auto MKIII works (but it uses the QEV + 3 way valve combo... so in a way it's more straight forward use of this principle)

@spudtyrant
'I am on a boat'... lol I've just learnt what that means....
personally I prefer
this one

ok poland im sorry but im still not understanding what the chamber for vented air is for ?? I can't see the page you gave us cuz my flash isn't working at work :(

But do you need it so when you pull the trigger it only allows the qev to fire so much or ???

Sorry man if this seems dumb

BTB's shattehand uses a modified QEV as the main valve and a hammer valve for piloting... the modified QEV will stay open as long as its pilot valve is open...

However, since the hammer valve opens for a brief moment and vents some air from the pilot side, the QEV also opens just for a brief moment...
as a result you get something that is essentially a single shot...

So it can be said that consistency of the gun depends entirely on consistency of the hammer valve (i.e. how much air it vents each time). If you used just a blowgun the QEV will stay open as long as you keep it open 9so you would waste a lot of air)

so if you want to use something else than a hammer valve with a modded QEV you need to find a way to vent exactly the same volume each time.. A small chamebr for vented air can do that

If you want semi auto just use the set up I have on the PITBULL 9 using a 1/4" QEV and 1/8" Normally open poppet Valve( Clippard MJV0-3) BUT use a different feeding method! as mine can only run at about 110 psi before it double feeds  Still my fave toy though, its insane to shoot, you can empty the mag as fast as you can push the button= damn I need to film it in action!

I did end up making the Chamber bigger and improved power a LOT

Ok ok I'm sorry but I still think we've cross wire's here?
With all respect .. Don't worry about the hammer valve I know perfectly how they work , I want to know about the 3 way's and the vent chamber and how to use it
A small chamebr for vented air can do that
sorry man but can you shed a little more info please ???

Does your (or yours Django ) 3 way work the same as a nail gun ? When you press the trigger does it release 1 amount of air and the when you release the trigger it exhaust !? OR does your 3 way just continue to release air Till you let go of the trigger??

How excactly does the vent chamber assist you ???

@ django - were's the vids man ??

I was wondering about your's,How accuate do you think it is over what distance ? does it Double offten? Looks great I bet it's a blast to shoot!! Also do you leave your gun plugged in ?

Sorry about the spelling I'm on my phone i'll edit tomorrow

the 3way releases all the air that you need constant air, just like a nailgun

that's why I tried to make sure everyone understands that I was talking about a possible modification of BTB's design...

the PITBULL 9 uses a simple QEV + 3 way valve combo...
when the trigger is released the QEV is filled (hence normally open valve) but when you press the trigger the pilot volume of the QEV is vented to the atmosphere

the semiauto MKIII is exactly the same but it also has an air cylinder that loads ammo (while django's gun uses a simple T to do that)

have a look at the animation you said couldn't open -> http://www.wisc-online.com/objects/View ... ID=HYP4807

or look at the animation I created... I can't believe it took me only 20 minutes to make it

It only double feeds if I give it too much pressure( over 110 psi) under that it feeds wonderfully :D .

Do I leave it plugged in= yes, I usually just use my 20 oz co2 bottle and paintball reg , I have a bulk co2 bottle out my back yard and refill the 20 ouncer when I want.

Distance wise ive only tried it out as far as about 20 meters and it constantly hits small energy drink cans with ease , so yeh for a home made job Im really pretty pleased but still room for improvement. Next inline I;ll be using a similar set up but bolt action so I can run much higher pressure but still planning on how to seal the bolt so no air leaks when shot.

Videos, Im hopeless Ive been promising vids for ages and ages, I dont own a camera thats good enough so will probably be having to borrow one. The wife doesnt want me to film the gun in action because it'll have to be hosted at you tube thus risking authorities tracing my whereabouts!?. ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS POSSIBLE OR LIKELY, IF SO CAN I SOMEHOW AVOID BEING TRACED???.............

AFAIK you can use anonymising proxies... or even daisy-chain a few of them...
so you can use it/them just in order to create an account on youtube and to upload videos...
