Corrected link in my previous post; sorry about that.

On a separate post earlier, I had asked why this valve wouldn't be as good as a manual ball valve when piloting a QEV and all I got was " IT WON'T BE AS GOOD". When asking for that person to explain why, I got no response
again that's a very general question... sort of like 'what is better: a motorcycle or a truck ?'

they seem quite expenisve... I am afraid they are poppet valves... poppet valves are not balanced so as the pressure increases you need to use more force to open them.. anyway you might send them an email and ask... I must say they are pretty cool... but a bit pricey

I'm just not following how that is a general question. One is manual and one is electric. If you want to fire your cannon the best way you are stuck on a manual ball valve it seems. I was simply asking ,can this electric thing work as well. It is very important to me to be able to use a simple push button in my project that wont sacrafice performance( At least not by more than 5%)

In that case, a small solenoid valve piloting a QEV will give you the best of both worlds ;)

yeah it can work as well as a blowgun or ball valve.. its flow might not be as good but at least it will open faster..

I already responded in the other post that you might as well get a 3 way valve not a 2 way valve (it won't be much more expensive... in fact probably it will be cheaper)

with a 3 way valve you can reduce pilot volume to minimum.. this can make up for slightly lower flow of 3 way valves when compared with ball valves
