So how about this then? much easier and cheaper. Most expensive parts will be the QEV and the shock pump.

My Shatterhand cannon cost me very little, just some time to collect suitable parts..doorhandles, springs, piece of hardwood leftover..


Modifying a QEV will give you a powerful multishot cannon with minimum parts.

It involves piercing the piston and putting a spring behind it.
This way it can refill from the chamberside...very, very quickly.

No more need for extra ballvalves, just create your own little pilot-hammervalve, or tap a blowgun for multishot.
Pilot it through a pop-off and you get full auto, with minimum fittings..

ok.. so let's start from the very beginning... QEVs are ready-made piston valves that are both filled and piloted through the same port... most ppl two separate valves to do operate them: one to fill and one to pilot the QEV...

though, you can also do it in the proper (filling/piloting such a valve without loosing more air than needed & using only one valve) way with the use of a 3 way valve...
...a thingy that can first pressurise the QEV and the gun, then close off the air supply and vent the pilot side (opening the QEV and sending ammo downrange)...


what BTB suggested is a way of modding the QEV so that it could be filled through the chamber port but piloted through the pilot port (with a BV or a blowgun)... the disadvantage of this method is that you loose some performance and air in the process (unless you use a hammer valve though that increases complexity)

anyway, QEVs were designed to be used with 3 way valves... that should give you a hint

yeah that's what BTB mentioned.. when you cut a hole in the piston you can fill from the chamber side... that means worse performance but no one know how much worse as no one compared modded and unmodded (AFAIK)...
anyway if you mod it in this way the QEV will stay open as long as the pilot valve is open.. hence the need for a hammer valve to minimize loss of air

yeah that will work... personally I think you'd be better off attaching a BV directly to the pilot side and then a male quick disconnect fitting (it goes without saying that you'll need a female QD too)...
it'll work pretty simple - first connect the air source and open the valve to fill the gun... then close it and disconnect... when you want to fire just open the BV
the biggest advantage of this over putting a T there is reduced pilot volume

What bbs?

it can mean either ball bearings or ammo used for airsoft (6mm and 8mm)... alternatively it can mean those round balls in .177 cal.... Have you ever heard of BB guns ?

No offence, but I think you should spend more time browsing the forum and reading everything you can find... not that I don't want to answer your questions but you'll learn much more by reading things on your own

With a bit of judicious use of proper epoxy this could easily be built on a budget, what many people don't realise about my launchers is that since I make almost no use of standard parts, at least ones which I actually pay for, the cost comes down a lot.

Take this one for example, if you factor in the cost of the pipe and epoxy and assume the schrader was ripped out of a used bicycle tyre, the total financial outlay was about $10

Great grouping? those shots were a couple of metres away, not really sure what sort of accuracy would have resulted further away.

I think you've already seen how I make my wads, here. Also since it's a 0.75" barrel 12 gauge shotgun wads can also be used
