2. i seen this site http://www.members.tripod.com/potatogun ... valve2.htm

and with that rubber washer thing is their a hole in that or does the air enter threw the sides of that metal washer.

thanks

Don't make one out of wax. It will break on the first shot.
Unless you use 5 psi :D
Also that valve on that site is a chamber sealer, don't make one. If I were you I wouldn't make a piston valve at all, they are too much trouble. But if you do decide to make one, make a barrel sealer.

If you're making a 2" piston 1-1/4" PVC SCH-40 fittings fit very well in 2" SCH-40 pipe, and with patience can be made to include O-ring grooves by spacing pieces of fittings over some 1-1/4" pipe or a 1-1/4" male fitting like a plug.

Just because you can't get one to work :P

You have to figure out how to get one working sometime, so you may as well start now. They are incredibly useful. Though, I wouldn't recommend a piston valve for a first build.

Any 5 minute epoxy from the local hardware store should work. A longer dry time would be even better since you would not be rushing aroung once you have the epoxy mixed.
