The cylinder under the barrel is his chamber. It looks to be a regulated chamber at that.
It looks to be a QEV piloted by a Modified, spring triggered ball valve. Looks to be an efficient design, not to mention a good-looking airgun.

I don't know how its called in english but its just a chamber with a classical bike valve, without non return valve . i don't think its only a french stuff.
i dont know exactly is fonction but i think its made to realease the air exedent in gaz instalations.

The part used for the chamber is an ( automatic) air release valve to air out central heating systems in Europe.
It's what the store idiot came back with when I asked him for a QEV..
Not a particularly useful valve for spudding...except...as a chamber perhaps..
