Summer projects...

I'm done with school next monday, so i decided to start thinking about a summer project as a productive use of time. I have way too many plans buzzing through my head, and I will probably end up doing only one or two. I will be starting on a semi-auto, for now all i have is an air tank and flow control, but i have sourced all of the necessary parts and I am making the total out to be around a hundred dollars. So what does everyone else have planned, i know there are a few in the nerf build off, but I'm curious to see what kind of plans everyones has for builds this summer.

I will be working at a Navy lab all summer, so no free time for me (though I get to use some awesome equipment; too bad I don't work where they have the light gas gun for materials testing [The whole section is for materials testing, I am working on power electronics materials]).
Just a small revamped railgun injector for me, main project is the autonomous helicopter.

I have an internship at UCSB but hopefully will find time for a midsized hybrid, a combustion gb launcher that fits in a golf bag and semi-auto gb launcher, providing I can find a large enough compressor.

Finishing up Superna, probably making a vortex inline for airsoft wars in the backyard, nothing special.

looks like theres a lot of ambitiously large projects comming up. I'm probably getting an extra spudding stimulus of 150$, but i have to do well on exams

I'll probably make a gb gun... My plan is kinda a mix of crowleys first version (of his most popular) cannons and d_halls john daly...

I'll use a breakdown 6' barrel and a mauler valve... It should be fun.

I also just made a saboted rocket for mah howitzer... I'll post when I shoot that (in the direction of my friends house*(0.55 mile away)) I have a feeling I'll overshoot it at 90psi...

*general direction(No saying it's a bad idea, I've thought it over very well it is plenty safe.), no way to cause damage... Unless it lands on somebodys head... :?

My only planned spudding project for this summer is an airsoft mine, although it is nearly finished already.

My other summer project is a racing lawn mower. I started it last year but after I finished it I decided that it needed to be faster, so I'm hoping to finish it this summer.

Nothing too ambitious for me. There's a new ETG build in the works, but that's just to clear up a fatiguing issue with the insulator. At that point, the ETG will (hopefully) be ready for more extensive testing, and posting on Spudfiles.

There's a lot of shopping in the city, and a good 60 hours of machining between now and then, and I'll likely not get finished the build until August.

I think you should model it after Superna :D
Good luck, GB cannons are freaking awsome. You better have a big range to shoot it though, unlike me :P

Well I'm talking about one held over the shoulder instead of infront of the shoulder...

Haha you can't discuss that it would require enough kills in order to be able to get those attatchments

I'd like to see if I can build something along the lines of a classic airsoft style BV unit, although a $0 budget and no transportation is a serious problem for the meantime.

I'd also like to experiment with lost foam zinc casting.
