HP Semi anyone?

I was just browsing Ebay and i found a 3000 psi capable 3-way! A QEV should be able to handle that, so now all anyone needs is a 3000 psi capable loading system...
Here's the link, pretty good price if you ask me..

There is no way a QEV can handle that. The diapgragm/piston woulf rupture well below 3k psi. Maybe a piston valve.

I cannot find it, but BtB's guns, IIRC, run at pressures well above 20 bar. I don't know anyone who has 3000 psi on tap and has tested them, but this 3-way is much higher rated than the normal ~200 psi. This means you can have a hp, semi gun

20 bar is only 300 psi, people use them with fridgies. But 3k is a little high.

personally I think it is a better idea to have a separate low pressure circuit on the gun for operating both the air cylinder and the main valve..

if you want to use pressures higher than ~40bar you really need a high pressure main valve , air cylinder, fittings and tubing - that stuff is going to be expensive and/or hard to get

a regged down circuit will make this a bit simpler (I admit - while being more complex but all in all I think it is a better choice)

anyway.... if you moddel any high pressure pneumatic in GGDT you'll see that the performance gain is a bit disappointing... especially if you take into consideration costs... so if you want more power it might be a better idea to build an 8X hybrid or something like that

You say 3000psi like it's no big deal, when in fact, it's like a low level nuke if something goes stupid.

i guess i am underestimating that pressure, but this would still be a good part for a HP semi auto

once u find a main valve than just throw on a steel paintball tank and throw on a barrel and the dcv and done

Dude, 3000psi is nothing to sniff at.

There is no way in hell that a QEV would withstand the pressure and even if the internal piston was replaced with a stronger one, I wouln't want to be risking even the metal shell of the QEV.

There was a person who had a small 0.5L 3000psi tank that failed whilst filling, he lost almost his whole arm. Most of the wall he was standing in front of was ruined.

I do have 3000psi on tap but you have to treat it with respect.

Even the smallest things have to be taken into account such as:

What air chamber would you use?

What fittings?

What barrel?

How clean would you keep all the parts.

Cleanliness is key with high pressure air, regualr super glue burns up under high pressure, so do many plastics. Also, any amount of oil etc. would also be burnt and would usually result in an explosion.

would it even work? its for hydraulic not pneumatic

the cheapest high presure valve are burst disk and hydraulic ball valves to handle that type of presure or u will be paying alot of money for a vlave
also homemade piston valves at 3000 psi i hard not just because of material but i may have to lube it and it will blow at that psi
