Why? Filling from the pilot would prevent honking.

Filling from the chamber side with enough flow will also prevent honking.Gun Freak wrote:Why? Filling from the pilot would prevent honking.
Also, having the air feed into the pilot means the valve will open much less quicker and the design will waste a lot more air, which might be a concern if it is a portable design.

True dat, scratch it.Also, having the air feed into the pilot means the valve will open much less quicker and the design will waste a lot more air, which might be a concern if it is a portable design.

Ah ok, not like you... normally you plan a gun and build it the next day, then spit out a few more by the week's end

With a 3 way, the air feed is blocked off when the pilot is opened so no need for chamber filling. Hooking up the pilot side to a pop-off should technically allow you to retain the full-auto function.ramses wrote:I will fill in for Poland spud and suggest a 3 way valve as the pilot. Or a 4 way, which would allow you to fill from the chamber.

Yeah yeah yeah, I build a couple guns a month sometimes but they are usually cheap but this a bigger and harder build so I'll spend a while planning it and I'd use a 3 way but there expensive and I've never really under stood them. Also do they work like piston valves or diaphram valves, and they are triggered electronically arent they.
That is all.
