Alright so I my other account magically dissappeared so this thing is telling me im a rookie so.... lol ANYWAYS
I'm working on a grenade launcher for paintball and I need to know what pressure i should work around? i know the average psi of my co2 tank is anywhere from 2200 to 2800...i plan to have a main chamber that i would fill with a co2 tank then just a quarter turn ball valve to dump it all (unless someone has a better idea?) anyways throw some ideas out there

Depending on ambient temperature, it's actually 800-1000 psi

What exactly is the ammunition you'll be using? And to what dimensions are you constrained?

I guess a small metal chamber without a regulator and a ball valve would be the simplest option in this case, with such high pressure you don't really need a fast valve to send such a light projectile the required distance.

callin me a noob i see:P lol and for the record the psi i gave was from my filling station not my tank itself but regardless i want some level of safety in this thing i have any hopes of the refs allowing during game use. so a regulator is must

CO2 "filling stations" are just a bigger bottle of CO2, and are consequently subject to the same pressures.

Are you sure this is a CO2 system and not HPA instead?

To be fair to the guy, a full CO2 tank on a hot summer day around here is WAY over 1000 psi. It shouldn't be up to 2000 (though just a bit of overfill will indeed get you there)...

If I were you, I'd go with a Palmers Pursuit Stabilizer and use a metal pressure chamber as JSR mentioned. Don't try to run unregulated CO2, it's dangerous and too inconsistent.

These things are worth every penny.

I would just go with something like this is you want to go unregged co2
