In the first rifle I was going to make, there wasn't any room for this system. But... since my original trigger design was a pain in the rear I decided to change the rifle I was gonna make to allow this kind of firing mechanism.ramses wrote:I think you should go to a straight pull mechanism and use a separate sear that holds the firing pin back. - pull charging handle back,
charging handle pulls hammer/pin

pull trigger,
hammer moves forward,

hammer/pin comes to rest near the end of the closed off slot.
