Fridge/AC compressors

I can obtain quite a number of fridge & A/C compressors, so I have a few
questions about them.

1. Which is better
2. What do you recommend for fitting them off
3. Is it fesible to connect them in parallel for higher flow
4. Is there a more reliable brand

1. As far as I know, AC compressors have a higher cfm than most normal fridge compressors.

2. For fitting them, you can buy high pressure compression fittings from McmasterCarr.

1. the flow of the compressor depends way more on the size of the compressor than the type. i would rather have a recipricating compressor over the rotary one i use for the majority of my compressing becuase recipricating seem to have the deadspace as the limiting factor while my rotary is limited by power.

2. just use compression fittings from a hardware store. they are plenty good. and ive used them up to the max of my compressor

3. with only fridgies its not realy feasible to hook them up in series. it works quite well to use a shop compressor to feed the fridgy though.

4. with the torture we put compressors through compressors arent very reliable no matter the brand.

Thanks for the advice, though I was referring to connecting the compressors being connected in parallel as opposed to series for higher flow instead of higher pressure.

I can get compressors that are as big as a 10L bucket.

Both ways will increase flow, i do it with my compressor now, it used to take 2.5 min to fill a 1l FE to 300psi. now its like 30 seconds. i do have a small one tho

parallel will of course give you more flow. the flow will be equal to the individual flow of each compressor added together.

so you can get compressors as big as mine?
