Hi there,

Has anyone had success with running a solenoid-piloted sprinkler valve off of wall power, presumably with the appropriate converter? I have a large stationary system actuated by a solenoid valve about a foot from a socket. Currently I am using 3 9-volt batteries in series, which works fine, except that they drain reasonably fast (this is a high-use system). More importantly, it is critical that the range of the device be very consistent, and I suspect that as the batteries run down the valve performance changes, screwing everything up. So does anyone have any advice on running the valve off USA wall power?

Thanks

you can buy solenoid that are for 110/240 volt and just swap it for the one you already have.

Why not use like a lawn tractor battery and just use a car charger. This is really only practical if you already have a car battery charger though....

Pick up a transformer for a Sprinkler System control box. They are not expensive and output the proper ~24VAC the valve was designed to run on.
