Paintball QEV

As im near the end of my current project, I have been reflecting on how I could improve it when I make V2. So naturally im seeking out a higher pressure configuration. I've thought about using a paintball QEV, as these are rated to 3k psi and I was wondering:

Would they work like a traditional QEV?

Is it feasible for a pneumatic project?

I couldn't find any mention of using a paintball QEV on the search, but if you know any links regarding the discussion of them or a build including them I would appreciate it.

Yes, it will work, but what pressure are you planning on running it at? If it is anything under 800 psi, use a european QEV because they have standard threads and they are larger so you would get better flow.

well its for my second gun which is in the works, hopefully it will be 850psi reg air as it is mostly paintball parts. (tank and valve) with 6mm steel barrel as before.

what are the thread sizes on each side?

I couldn't tell you... but you might be able to get some sort of adapter if your heart is set on using a paintball QEV.

well for high pressures it seems a good choice if im using a small chamber volume and a small bore. im surprised others haven't considered using them.

These are tiny (designed for 4mm hoses) and don't have a thread on the "barrel" port. Also as it is a part for an ION, the max operating pressure would be 200psi. The 3000PSI air is only in the tank the ASA regulator (on the tank) drops the pressure to 850psi or 450psi, then the inline drops the pressure to under 200psi.

Ah, thats a shame. oh well. I will probably look into getting a steel piston valve milled instead.
