I ordered this exhaust valve, part number 6646K23 from mcmaster.com and I need some help with it. I cant get it to seal, and I tried putting a spring to help seal it, but it did not allow me to open the valve with my pilot. I will get pictures up of my set up either tonight or tomorrow. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Well it seemed like it was dieing, and this way it can bring in others that don't want to know more about the project, but would rather help with the valve. Plus it will be helpful in the future for others who experience the same problem.

At least tell us what ports you used for you pilot/chamber/barrel?

Have you examined the piston face? is there any visible damage? what pressure can you get it up to? how fast is the leak? Where is it leaking from? mine leaked from where the two main parts of the valve body join together. epoxy solved the problem.

Alster, no damage that I can see, and I cant even charge it up without it leaking. Its leaking from the exhaust, and the pilot is closed. I can fill from either the air tank its self or the pilot. I use the inlet for the pilot, and then the cyl for air tank, and exhaust is empty right now until I solve the problem.

Gun freak I saw that gun just a few moments ago, and I was trying to figure out how he made his work.

Are the threads leaking? You might just need to tighten them more... did you use thread tape?

If your threads are leaking, just epoxy them. I got sick of teflon tape failing.

I cant even pressurize it to 1 psi, and I used my FE and charged that to 80 psi, then plugged it to my pilot, filled the chamber and it equalized at 20, then it started leaking air out of the exhaust after I disconnected it.

Do what you do with you FE, but underwater. This way you can pinpoint the exact places your gun is leaking from. Then epoxy the troublesome spots. Or if you can hear your gun leaking air, use your fingers to find the troublesome spot( if you finger blocks the leak point it will change sound) and then do as above.

I just applied teflon, I hope it works. If it does not, I will try the water. I don't want to because this is being made for my friend, and I cant spend alot of money either, but I will try this teflon, and then we will see. Join me in the chat room and I will update you.

Always, ALWAYS seal threads with teflon tape. They do not just seal by themselves.

I put teflon earlier, and its the sealing face that wont seal. I am going to try one more thing, then I will either post pictures, or return it.
