does anyone know roughly the least amount of psi generated to push the valve or open up the valve?

and what psi are they rated too? i saw one on someone else's stirrup at 700 psi

I've had the exact same type of valve and I can tell you they're pretty bad... the piston is sloppy in the brass guides so it tends to miss the seat and leak. Maybe this is not the same manufacturer but still... it has a plastic piston and a seat over .748". Using this on a pump for 700 psi is just asking for trouble IMHO.

Perhaps the person in question just used this valve as a housing for a check valve with a much smaller seat.

Check valves for hydraulic systems or a power washer may be a better match.
