*little accident*
I tested the cannon in my "garden house" where I make my cannons.
I placed the cannon on my workbench. Prezzurized it to 4bars.
Keep in mind that in front off the barrel there was the door of the gardenhouse with glass in it. The door stood open in front off the cannon. The distance between the door and the connection for screwing a barrel on was something like 3m.

I launched the cannon but fucking hell, the glass was shattered by the air.
The glass was 3mm thick. And the strange thing of all in the window there is a hole that is around 20cm in diameter. :p There's still glass in the door except the round hole that's vanished. :p

Tomorrow I have put a new one in. :p

Pics tomorrow.

[quote="airpress"]Good news!

The piston works perfect with the valve upgrade!
More info tomorrow.
Here a few pics with everything mounted except the barrel and pressure gauge.

Good, now please cut a groove into your piston, and install an O ring, so your performance can increase immensely!

hey if you dont want to unscrew your filling nipple every time (quick conect) just put a T in you bal valve with on one side nothing (air escapen) and the other side your nippel :) good idea?
looks verry good btw :) and make a foto of your door instead of some nice paint drawings ;) lol

I haven't a lathe a home. I'm happy enough when it works without o-rings. :p

I couldn't take one, it was already dark.
This afternoon a massive update with pictures from cannon with barrel and one from the door.

Looks like mine, mine has a 1.5 QEV instead.

here is some pictures and vids but the topic is not updated, now i shoot at 25bar and use a plastic piston, lighter:

I use a 1300*26mm barrel.

Very impressive anyway!

Sorry if you already said that, but how much pressure will you use, and what the diameter of your barrel ?

I will use a 75mm PN16 pvc pipe as barrel. The length is 1,4m.
I will slighty build up the pressure. I don't want to brake my reducer by the slam from the piston. :p

Here 2 pics from the door.

It's unbelievable that it has the shape of a circle. :P

So you don't actually have to but something in the barrel to shoot. The air is enough to kill you! :D

Should this be from the vortex or something?

Well if you put your hand over the barrel and fire it, it would hurt, right?

Yes indeed. :P

Pffffff, I can't work in the gardenhouse, its over 40degrees inside.
It's incredible warm here in Belgium since 2days.

Edit:
Installed the pressure gauge. Mounted the barrel. Now waiting some hours until the thread sealant has hardend.

If your barrel is big enough, try shooting toilet paper rolls out of it. :D

With a decent bumper it should be fine. This cannon is destined for 500psi :D

It's a shame you taped the pressure gauge in to the fittings though, would've been better to use a reducing 3"-1" tee and then 1"-1/2" bushing and a 1/2"-1/4" bushing.
