joining qev to a slide valve

i just bought a cheap qev and slide valve off ebay. I think i made the mistake of buying the one of the cheapest ones i could find to handle the pressure. any way the problem i have is the slide valve has the standard 1/4bsp fittings (one male and one female) and the qev has three female fittings around 15mm (i assume 15mm unc but am not really sure) i searched through taps at work today and we just happened to be out of all metric taps near that size but its not a standard imperial, perhaps npt or next size up bsp however the 10mm plumbing fittings at bunnings have the correct outer thread. Would anyone know how to go about finding a fitting to join the two. i would like to try and avoid soldering them together as it would make the slide valve unserviceable and i assume the heat would burn the two o-rings inside the slide valve. and on a side not while im asking is a qev with 0.6" ports large enough to make a marble sized barrel or should i try and downsize to 6-8mm bb's or ball bearings. and ill probably be running around 100 psi [/img]

The QEV is probably 3/8" BSP.

I think the easiest solution is to buy a QEV that matches, these should have 1/4" BSP threads:
