Hey guys
Got home today and at the end on my driveway i saw a fridge sitting there for hard rubbish or who ever wants it. So i took it home and took out the fridge compressor but for some reason it needs to be connected to the fridge or else the fridge compressor wont turn on. But when it is connected it will turn on. I tried to completely take down the whole fridge and remove all the wires but its not going to work because it is going to take ages and its really hard to remove the panels :(
So is there any way i can re wire the fridge compressor??

just analyse the circuit

more pics would be great

one cable goes somewhere inside the fridge - right to the thermostat, which is just a switch BTW so you can remove it out and replace with a normal on/off switch and that's pretty much all you need to do

Kinda hard to see in pictures.
Wires from the gray sheild probably supply power to compressor.
Wire that is green with yellow trace is ground.
Upper wire ? light blue wire, hard to see with glare, is possibly common.
Lower wire? tan wire, again hard to see from glare is possibly hot lead.
There maybe a run cap, black 2 wires should go to black box
Last picture is just the defrost timer, not needed to run compressor

BTW is this a 120 volt or 220 volt compressor?

ImageOk if this is the wire that goes somewhere inside the fridge than you need to connect two of these to close the circuit and start the compressor - I guess it's the brown and black wire

Hope you're going to add a real switch - that piece of wire (paper clip??) doesn't look safe at all ;-)
