Useful Information on Misc and Etc

While lurking around for a suitably dumb fall project, I noticed a considerable number of questions on these forums directed toward "Is this safe?" While safety seems to be somewhat subjective, (I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you!) here is a nifty little toolbox that will provide enough information to make a truly regrettable decision. I am sure the regular members have this stuff memorized but for the rest of us....

Pressure ratings of pipes and tubes and their fittings - carbon steel , stainless steel, plastic, copper and more
Flame and explosion limits for gases - propane, methane, butane, acetylene and more
Quick cheat sheets to determine how long a string we are going to use...

Lately been leaning towards steam, and have the perfect cheat sheet here but it's really more fun just to do this... Whoooosh!

Seriously hope the tables provide some helpful info, at least enough to do some quick and dirty numbers.

Disclaimer: The cannon displayed in the last link titled "Whooooosh" should not be preseaved as "harmless". No projectile launcher is harmless and all need to be used with caution and adult supervision at all times. Edited by jrrdw.
