You could always plug the pipe on both sides, then house the lock in the free space. Just run tubing to connect it to the chamber. It's a hammer valve, so it doesn't need massive flow.

Hammervalve piloted dual pistonvalves actually.
Quite little noisemakers at 4 bar might I add...
The flow is much better than I expected...

I'll sleep on it..

The tubing you suggested could simply be the triggerguard..

Damn...I'll have to go buy more stuff...

I assume it's multishot? So the flow restriction may work in yor favour to increase efficiency, have a small firing chamber fed by a larger chamber.

And I hate that feeling, my closest hardware store is 35km away, and I forget that one little part, and it's something I can't substitute.

I did get a solenoid-valve today, i had an old washingmachine outside and now to the question: can you guys help me to mod the valve? :)))

Well..

You'll need a 1/8" tap..
Carefully remove the solenoids, they slide off the center plastic extensions.
Then you can unscrew the valvelids by grabbing the plastic rods with some pliers.

Keep everything clean! The least amount of dirt ( or dust/chips from drilling) will cause leaking later on.

Inside you'll find two pins with rubber tips.You can scrap those.
They are used to pilot the valve originally by exposing a tiny hole in the center of the pistons.

These holes need to be closed off.You could try glue or do what I did: Melt them shut with a soldering iron from both sides.

You'll need to cut off the plastic rods now and tap the holes in the center of the lid to 1/8" and make some poppet val;ves out of 1/8"fittings, two little O-rings and m4 bolts. I put small springs on the poppets to make then selfclosing.

I also put small springs between the lids and the pistons to help them close.

reassemble and have fun..

my advise would be to keep the rest as it is.
It was a hell of a job to cut it down so short.
The only reason I did that was so it would look better.

You could just turn the poppets down and trigger them like that and save yourself a lot of trouble.

I'm gonna go and take it apart and clean the insides now and choke the 1/4"connecter between the barrel and the reservoir.
Right now I can't get two shots out as the first dumps all the pressure.

Normally I'd be quite happy with such a good valve.... :D

Hmm interesting - wonder how much pressure they can handle ?
I know they are normally exposed to about 2 bar but probably they can handle a little bit more

what's the minimal pressure they require to operate??


Oh and BTW are the solenoids 230 VAC or DC? if it's DC then it's awesome... if it's not then I guess technician knows how to build a DC coil that could replace it

Just remind it, it won't have a long duty cycle so it won't matter. I might play with the half dozen of these I have.

Mine is rated to 10 bar max...wich is not bad.

I found the elegant solution to looping the trigger around the reservoir..

What goes around a pipe?
A bigger pipe....

I do need to get a new connector as I want to move the valve up to the front..this gives me the opportunity to slip on a piece of pipe wich will hold the trigger.
Moving the valve a bit further to the front will put the hammer in a more natural location.
The hole I tapped for it now will hold a blocked off fitting wich will serve to bolt on the hammersection..

Got it all figured out except for the valve to barrel connection...
Wich shouldn't be too hard...

Update:
I got it firing and at 6 bar that thing seems..unsuitable.. :D

Finally got all the bugs out...no more leaking or jamming hammervalves.

If I tap the valves with the handle of a screwdriver it launches the nerfdart across the room at lightning speed.

loading is a bit dodgy as the barrels are clamped on, no real break action yet...load...clamp it back on and settle it against the rubber gaskets on the valve.

My son is a bit impatient...wonder where he gets that.. he really diddn;t want to wait for me to put on the whole hammer thing.
Now that he's found out he'll get "only" 8 shots out of a fully charged tank he wants me to build a pump into it....wich actually makes sense.

As I need to move the valve up to do the hammer-trigger assembly anyway I figure I might aswell build a completely new stock for it...

I'm leaning towards steel.
Walls don't need to be that thick and I won't be needing any fittings as I will weld in plugs and thread where I need to.
If I can weld on all the stuff I need for the hammers it would be better aswell.

however...I'll do that some other time.

For now, its functional and fun and I can unscrew the valve and rebuild the rest later on when I've got the time.

one thing is for sure...my spark has been lit once more...
I just gotta have an all metal ( with wood offcourse) doublebarrel /double hammered-QEV high-pressure sawn-off now.
Nothing beats a sawn-off..
