Slide valve pressure

Hey all, haven't been on for a while, working on a few new guns.

I was wondering how much psi a slide valve can hold. I want to use a euro-qev and a slide valve with unregged co2. Will it leak? Will it be safe?

Thanks,

Nick

What are the ratings of the slide valve and qev? There are slide valves used with unregulated co2. You'll find them where ever you buy paintball stuff.

Seriously doubt you'll find a qev with a RATING coming close to the pressure of unregulated co2...this can easily exceed 1000 psi by a considerable margin on a hot day.

Is the qev at that pressure safe? Not in my opinion. You've abslolutely NO way of knowing how much of the factory safety factor is left, and this makes it exceedingly dangerous.

Alrighty thanks,

Maybe not co2 but hpa in the 800 psi range.

If I was to go to co2 do you think I should make a qev with a brass or steel t fitting and a reinforced piston?

Brass with normal epoxy piston should do the trick.
What size qev are you planning ?

And just attach a trigger to the slide and I'm good to go? Correct?
