Hy everyone, i'm from patator forum the french spudgun forum hope you remember me . I'm still making spudguns and i've managed to make one wich works great, many shots nice acuracy and great power (for airsoft).

So its a hammer vavle gun, with a c02 fire extinguisher valve, 8mm hole, very effective.
I can have betwen 40 and 60 shot with this big cooper pipe, hammer valve is great design i should have made one before.
I can regulate the power by turning the screw, so i can shot when the pressure is high and low with the same projectile speed. I mean you can shot at the end when the pressure is low, without loosing all the air in one shot, like if you had a powerfull spring to shot at high pressure.
Ask me if you have questions!!

mark.f : hi thanks, it took me two afternoon to do the acid engraving and the oil blueing. As you can see that is not right symetric and perfectly smooth because that's my first atempt doing these proces, but that ad a steampunk finish.

Look who's still around!

Fantastic job, I really like the etching :) looks pretty deep, what acid did you use?

You really should consider a girandoni style breech loading mechanism... Here's a good improvised example:

jackssmirkingrevenge,
I used nitric acid, i've let it in the bath for 5min it's quick but the preparation is long, you have to put varnish and black of smoke and let it dry, then you can draw what you want.

Yeah for the girandony it's a very good idea, i will probably do that.
