Hi.
I'm new here in this Forum.
At first i want to say that i think you are doing very great things and its a honor for me to join this "club".
I'm Sorry for my bad English. Please try to use easy Language.

I think multi shot air rifles are a realy great thing so i want to build my own one.
Unhappily so far i wasn't able to understand how a design with the QEV works.
I want a realy powerful ( it should have minimum 10 Joule at around 150 PSI) multi shot Design.
Please tell me a design i could use
My Air tank will be a old fire extinguisher (130 PSI rated, ca 1 - 1,5 l)
If i understood the things I read correctly I will have to use a QEV
Can I use this one?:

what pilot valve do I need?
what is the best one for this

Please tell me how to put all the things together.

Do i need anything else so far ?

Thank you so much for your help.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

About the language, speak a little bit of German myself but my English is better, so that doesn't get us very far :).

For the QEV, it will take some time to understand but try out Youtube, there are some great videos explaining it. The one you linked can be used, however you can go cheaper:

The black box type QEV works exactly the same as the one you linked, but in my opinion the black boxes are usually a little bit better quality-wise.

For the pilot valve, the easiest thing to use is a blue slide valve:

The simple setup you can make is as vng21092 has done here:

For all the fittings and reducers and connectors you will need, check your local plumber.
You're going to need to put either teflon tape or special glue in the threads of your connectors, to make everything air-tight. I recommend using teflon tape, because it allows you to disassemble everything again.

The last thing you need is a good barrel! For the barrel you could go with some brass or preferably steel tubing. Check your local Baumarkt, or, what I do, go find a store specialized in Pneumatics and Hydraulics and ask for steel hydrolic tubing. It's very straight and polished on the inside.

Important when choosing a barrel is the size of ammo you are going to use. The standard BB size is 5,96mm, so if you can get those, I'd pick a barrel with an inside diameter of 6mm. Otherwise, you could look for a store either online or in your town that sells steel ball bearings and see if they've got the size of ball you a looking for.

I hope I answered all your questions properly and you understood my answers.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! That's what this forum is for.

Greetings,
Doodmens2

BARRELS, BARRELS EVERYWHERE!!! But please, stick with the slide valve if you decide to go beyond 400 PSI, the ghetto button valve gets a little hard to press beyond that and you'll end up jerking the gun.

I think its the same thing like he did in his setup, but i'm new here.
How does it work?
how works the pilot valve in this projekt?
i thinked it has to get the pressure as low as possible but there is the gasbottle behind it!?
I feel so stupid :? :P
I completely don't understand it :(
is the part that goes down from the qev another valve or is it only a chamber ?
do i have to make a small hole in my qev for this?
how powerful is it at around 10 Bar?

can i use a aluminium barrel like this, too?

thank you
