The guide rod is normally removed unless the pilot valve doesn't have enough flow to shift the diaphragm. In that case you can bend the guide rod thought the hole left in the diaphragm.

Thanks, but I dont know if i understand. What your saying is to bend the rod in an "L" shape and put it through the original hole is came out of from the top of the diaphram, and then bend the other end the same way. This rod has a white plastic thing on it. does the spring go back in. Man I been trying to figure this thing out for a few days now.

Thanks for the help.

Take or cut the white plastic off the guide rod and bend it so that it stays in the hole that it left in the diaphragm. You can put the spring back in if your valve won't seal.

I will do that tonight. Hey man you have been "GREAT HELP" to me. When I started building these gun 18 years ago, there were no sprinkler valves involved.

Thanks again.

Oh, Another thing. The blow-gun just opens the diaphragm. When the blow-gun valves open the diaphragm opens and the air rushes through the valve and into the chamber?

Thanks,

I'm glad to help. I'm not quite sure what you're asking...

Neither do I. What I was trying to ask was when i squeez the blow gun handle the air goes through the blow gun and not the barrel. Sorry about the confussion.

Thanks again.

Bending the guide rod though the hole in the diaphragm should fix that problem.

Well its wednesday mourning, I did what you told me to do and "WOW". I installed the rod and bent it so it would come out and all my problems are cured. I put a potato is the barrel and put 120 PSI in the chamber and pulled the blow gun valve and the potato launched. Nothing like the old hairspray gun. I can thank you enough man. Well thanks to every that has helped me.

Thanks.
