very nice. one of the most in depth build ups I've seen (the metal barrel sealing tee design page). I want to build a small piston valve gun, steel of course. and this and btb's shotguns serve as inspiration. It will turn out with a similar valve, but that's all.

I was thinking of also using steel pipe for everything but steel pipe isn't smooth on the inside. But I have pvc that fits perfectly inside it. This way the cannon will work well and be easy to machiene but have a high pressure limit. Not a bad idea.

what size PVC and what size steel pipe is It?

EDIT: I meant copper or PVC or cpvc or steel or whatever for the barrel, and steel for the rest of It. so It wont be all steel, but It will be close.

apart from the wood I really like it( DUH!)
The wood makes it look bulkier than it needs to be.( in my opinion)
You could "elbow"the chamber up under the barrel.
But that would mean two more fittings and more pipe-work..

If your happy with the wood keep it.Don't let me talk you into anything.
Suggestion in that case would be: use construction glue to attach the wood, so you can loose that ugly hose clamp.
Maybe you could add one layer of wood to the one you have ,in a cool shape, and cut out other pieces to add some depth to the design.For instance, you could cut out a front grip -tommygun style- that fits your hand perfectly.Add a layer of wood as a thumbrest etc...

The wood isn't going to stay, it was added to see how strong it would make the gun overall and it is really solid. I even dropped it (purposely) and nothing happend. I also thought about adding another tee and some fittings but I'd rather not for now, mabey on a different project. The wood makes it feel really stable to hold but it would leave no room for the co2 tank. I would like to make a frame out of aluminium, it will take some designing though.

The 20mm pressure rated pvc fits in 3/4" galvinized pipe or something like that.

Ive tried shotgun pneumatics before, they spread ALOT, have you got any ideas for reducing the spread?

I think sabots help. not sure though. because it seems like the expansion of the air spreads the ammo, the sabot would keep the ammo form the air, and would reduce the spread. maby only slightly, but I think It would.

Kak man!, who ever said this was being built to compare against brians gun. You have been acting wierd latley gorrila and it is pissing some people off.

The barrel of the gun should be supported because it makes it solid, if you drop it without support, the copper barrel will bend but adding a support makes this like an AK.

There!, you need something called a choke to 'concentrate' the spread of the shotgun but I have yet to see these in spudguns. I will get a video later.

has anyone used a shotgun shell to hold metal bbs in and it shoots out the shell (which should fall to the ground fast) and shoots out the bbs?
