Piston valve fill valve location

In my pneumatic piston valve canon that is curently being built there is a spring behing the piston that keeps it sealed very well can i pump it from the end of the chamber?

I'd say you could fill it from wherever you feel like it.

I have an over and under copper pneumatic that has a spring behind the piston which I fill from the muzzle end of the chamber with no problem whatsoever.

If your piston is sealed with O-rings, you will need an equilization hole, but other than that you can fill from anywhere.

You "can" but not with a fast fill rate. If the piston equilizes slower than the fill rate it will be theortically pushed backwards.

Well im pumping it with a bike pump anyway so i dont think that matters and i already glued it and will be submiting it tomarrow.
