OK so my new pneumatic marble smooth bore(s.s.r) i took it up to 12and a 1/2 bar today(about 150-160psi)me wants 300psi but anyways, yep it rocks but............its so loud!(like louder than a fudging .22!) i cant make a silencer for it i hate them plus it would make it even more illegal than it is, anyways its also not that accurate and its not even portable (i need it portable, the main reason i made it was to be portable!!)i cant find a bike pump for the pressures i want around here :( i have plenty of stainless pipe lying around and i can weld again (YAY!!) :) so i did the right thing and looked for bike pump plans (NO LUCK) im really staring to consider scraping pneumatics and spud guns all together. please help me out here even if its just something minor like getting it a bit quieter or something.

peace all

Mmm... I fire mine at 160-180psi and I'd rather hit myself in the head with it than fire it indoors even blank.

Outdoors it's loud enough for me to duck indoors again before someone starts looking for the guy firing a rifle...

Buy a 160psi track pump like this one http://www.performancebike.com/shop/pro ... ?SKU=19979

Its what I use.

lol ok, how does one know how much psi a pump will make? and more or less importantly how long does it take to pump up?

Well if you click that link and then click the Specs tab next to the picture it will tell you its got a gauge that reads to 160psi.

Mine reads to 160psi and I deliberately pump over that to get about 180psi. I can feel relatively safe doing that because there is a safety margin between what the gauge stops at and how much pressure the pump can actually do so it doesn't burst on anyone. I think mine is actually rated to 200psi.

It takes me about 30 seconds to pump it up that high. We're not talking rapid fire but 30 seconds is no big deal.

Your signature looks *cough* familiar in its wording :P

lol yer you have inspired me once again

30sec aint bad btw i cant wait to get a decent pump :) . my gauge actually reads to 150max its an oil gauge rated to well i dot know what its rated to  but either way i could get a 300 psi gauge without having to pay for it  (if i need it that is).
