Flow Control?

I'm getting a 1" Orbit Watermaster tomorrow from Lowes.

It comes in two options though, with flow control and without flow control.

What is flow control? From looking at the tutorials I see the hole where the solenoid would be and next to it is a small lever with an arrow. I'm guessing this is flow control. In the tutorial it says nothing about plugging the hole with epoxy.

In other tutorials where the valve does not have this lever, they require plugging the soleniod hole.

So my question is: Is it easier to mod valve with or without flow control?

all the flow dcontol does is mess with the solenoid I believe, or at least thats what it does from what see when I look at it.

i have one. the flow control is a manual way to push and keep the diaphram down in the valve. i wouldn't get it really it's just another hallse cuze a fitting doesn't persicly fit into it and then it has to be moded even more. it's a pain. infact..i lost mine lol i gota go look for it.

I've also seen schrader valves on the opposite side from the blowgun.

How do you go about doing that? Same thing, just take it apart and tap it?

Yes, since that is part of the chamber

Wow I just posted this in the wrong thread:

I'd like to put a threaded schrader in there but putting 1/8" threads into a 1/4" of material doesn't seem safe.

I wonder if a pop in valve would be better, or even glue a sheet of PVC to the valve to bulk it up. They are PVC right?

Ok I'm picking up the valve tomorrow. 1" watermaster with NO flow control. Sound good?
