Honking sprinkler valve

Listen, before you say anything, I already read BLB's sticky. It doesn't honk when I fire it, it honks when I fill it. I opened the valve up, and there is no pvc debris or anything of that matter than could cause it to seal improperly, and the blowgun doesn't leak at all, so the only other thing I could think of is that I'm filling it to fast.(I use an air compressor quick connect) The chamber is 2" by 24", so it's relatively small. Would using a schrader valve fix this problem? Thanks in advance!

no, its not broken. I had the same problem. you need to take it apart. There is a small peice of plastic that is about 1/4'' tall and maybe 3/8'' wide. (that is a rough guess, it sould be bigger or smaller). Anyway, it has a bunch of little holes in it and is in the diaphram. all you need to do is take it out and throw it away. It is plugging up the equlization hole, so pressure cant build on the top.

Just take the part out and use a blow torch to melt it, then spite on it, the wait for it to cool, then pick it up and throw it in the trash. that should solve your problem. ( you should keep the part just ince you took out the wrong one)
