i am about half way done a small marble gun. it has an extremely small fire extingisher for the chamber (i have not figured the volume yet) and i am going to go and get the barrel tomorrow i think, but i was wondering what is a good C:B ratio on a small marble cannon would be. i was thinking about 1:1 but i am not sure.

How can you be a Master Sergeant and not know of the gas gun design program? Just plug in your wanted muzzle velocity and then build you barrel off of that information.

on a pneumatic (if you have around 130 psi) you can easily get away with a 1:4 C:B. the only problem with that is that it would always have to be fired at a high pressure. which isnt a problem if you always have a compressor, but if you only have a bike pump then you would need more like a 1:2 ratio.
