Chaos i think your on the right track there, baffels is the key to a good silencer from what i've learned. basically the more baffles the queiter the pop.

Thats perfect. it would be more effective if you simply put in straight baffles aobut 2 inches apart from eachother throughout the can

one way, (for airsoft guns this works) is to get about a foot of 1.25 inch PVC, and about 6 3/4 inch endcaps. right in the center of those endcaps drill an 8mm hole (airsoft beign 6mm, you get the idea, make the hole at least 2 mm bigger than your projectile). then simply slide them down all one way, screw them in with panhead screws, and youve got yourself a retty dang effective silencer!

Well my good friends i have canned the silencer for now, until i get some decent washers.

and some good news is i have found a local distributor of gases and gear and found a helium bottle to be about $10 AUD for rental (until your finished with it i think?) and about $130 AUD to by and have to keep. And or A HPA tank

HPA

Helium

CO2

What do ya Think? HPA Helium Or CO2

I'd go with Helium... super light to have incredible projectile speeds, and once that gets boring, you can inhale it to have a funny voice

Lol yer, but im not to sure on helium coz it would be more expensive than the others and it would find all the pissy little leaks because the molecules of helium are smaller than that of Air and CO2.

But then again it would definitely make up for it in the Power

rent the helium for some high velocity tests but then stick to HPA for day-to-day usage.

btw are you aware there already was an s400 air powered sniper? :D

I think your gun is really amazing. Good construction ,clean design. The only thing that detracks from the profesional look is the blow gun...I would do a little research and come up with a cleaner look for the trigger system..Maybe use a safety pressure release valve ,the small brass kind??

in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08

I didn't know fish were animals
Besides in Australia you can get fined if you DON'T destroy carp as they do endless damage to our beautiful waterways.
It's only a link, or is the discussion of said practices against the rules as well?

Nova = Legend.

that out of the way i'd just like to inform the members of this forum that i made an entirely new piston for this gun, cut back on the pilot volume and whala! its gotten better again.

the piston is a piece of 20mm Polycarbonate Rod with o-rings and all.
the pilot volume now is a mere 2.5cm3 behind the piston (plus the hose),
i would also like to add i bought a shock pump that has a 0-30BAR (bit over 400psi!) gauge on it, but dont want to risk my blowgun breaking and shrapnelising my hand to nothing  im working on a new trigger but it will probably be something for next year.

peace guys

If you're referring to the Air Arms S410 then it's in 0.22/5.5mm
