The scepter launcher system, no but I know exactly how it works. Very simple.

Solars awesome revolving grenade launcher is like black magic to me, very impressive and I don't understand it.

Not very worried about compitition as of now, IF I ever manage to develope the launcher commercially it would only be years from now. After I finish school. (I think, lets see how things turn out)

I still have a lot of development to go but I am sure that because of the minimal machining needed (not a lot of parts to machine) it will be quite cheap to the consumer.

I am not counting on this making me any money at all, just a nice thought. One thing is for sure though, I want one for my paintball set up.

Ok, a few things happend tonight. I spoke to my dad freind who is a machinist and he say my design might not seal at high pressures, also told me machining is expensive. I wish I had the tools to do it myself.

I gave the prototype to my freind to examine (and to scare his cats, it ain't powerfull rightnow). I still believe in the design and I have a different one for a clip fed pistol that is foolproof :D

But anyway, I will share the design, I made a GIF animation earlyer which I will post up. Self expanitory really.

is that just a hose barb where the air comes in, leading to a solid piston with a hole to to through to the air chamber? then to fire it you move the tigger back?

If it is thats a very good design, something similar i would do is maybe a bigger chamber, and change the nipple to a tyre vavle so you dont need constant flow.

Also is there a sealing face on the bottom part of the piston, to seal against linking to the chamber?

EDIT: Whoops, just realised the o-ring on either side of it. THis design is very good

Hmm...

You're essentially making an oversized slide valve.

If you can get everything machined to sufficient tolerances and get the o-rings to slide and seal as they should then it should be nice to see.

I found this one wikipedia about o-rings.

"They can seal tens of megapascals (thousands of psi) pressure."
I really don't see why it wouldn't seal if you construct it correctly.

I really like the design. Good job thinking up something new. It's basically a modified chamber sealer. If you're making it for paintball use, how will it be loaded?

wow, sorry, I did'nt see this until now. smart, I ma have to try this, because I have some billet aluminum laying around, and a acess to a lathe, mill, and cnc..

Wow schmanman, I wish I had acces to all of that stuff. The closest thing I have to that right now is a broken wood lathe my shop teacher gave me

Ok, but I don't know where I could get it made. Maybe sometime this year. I am not listening to what my freinds dad said, sure a lot of it was good but I beilieve this will work. He suggested a cup seal design but that would over complicate things.

I would like to make a break barrel loader, so you pop the barrel out the side (pivoting at the front) of the launcher for easy quick loading.
