Unregulated CO2?

I am considering building a launcher that runs of of unregulated co2. I've seen it done before, but by who I don't remember. Anyway, Shoud this even be attempted? My chamber would probably be a short piece of metal pipe with ball valves on each end. The only ball valves I could find are rated for 600 psi, but O-rings can normally handle a lot of pressure.

According to Orpackrat, who uses unregulated CO2 for his paintball launchers, the metal ball valves and pipe from any hardware store is fine. Try not to die though. I wouldn't use it, personnally, but that's just me, I guess.

I use the galvanized Steel pipe from hardware stores with simple metal ball valves, they handle the pressure just fine. You just need to use some air tool oil in the gun every now and then to keep the valve seals in good condition.

You would need one of these it using a paintball tank, the threads are 1/8"

Just remember to use lots of teflon tape.
