Hi,

OK, I see. Do you make it hollow (using a smaller coaxial pipe)?

Yeah it´s hard to find 2 pipes that fit together to make one thicker one. Of course there is the SDR 21 golf ball barrel success story.

I think the DWV here is different from those you are thinking of...

Either a coaxial pipe, or I just drill the middle out.

Here is the finished valve. It´s quite easy to pull (I restricted piston travel a little; there is no need for the bolt to go really deep).

It triggers my 63/50 mm piston valve with a resounding boom - more than fast enough anyway.

Looks pretty cool. I am very jealous of your Sch 80 colored fittings; I would use Sch 80 but the price is a bit high.

It's not SCH80 - that's the standard colour for EU pressure rated parts.

Gepard, or Michael,, or whatever the hell you want people to call you, I know that. Did I say it was Sch 80? No. If you're going to get a bitchy and technical, so can I. :P

noname,

Right, you just mentioned the color .. well what does it really matter. If I could, I'd happily buy the fittings in white or purple with little pink fluffy teddy bears printed on them, just for a change

You aren't very smart are you? He said he liked the fittings that were colored the same as SCH80 pipe is here in America. He then went on by saying he would use SCH80 for it's color (among other things) but it is pricey.

Try reading a little closer before you post.

I would hope you didn't do that.

Edit: This kind of valve would be awesome for paintball land-mines, mainly because it is so simple to hook up to a trip line. To change the sensitivity you just put in a weaker or stronger spring.

You can call me anything you like (though what you say may result in being flamed). I don't mind - I was just clarifing that they weren't Sch80 fittings as I know that someone will have thought they were, if not you. I'm sorry if you read it differently.

Wow Modder, have I really pissed you off something - you seem to grab every opportunity you can to rip the piss..... It's nice to see arguing when you actually have a point. Well done - even if it had absolutly nothing to do with you.

Wow thats really nice. How hard was it to get right?

it would be interesting to find out how much better it was against like a blowgun, ball valve, sprinkler valve etc.

In my opinion, I can call you whatever I want to, just like anyone else. You may not like it, but if you start a "flaming match", I'll end it (Or PCguy will).

Hi,
How hard was it to get right?
Well it´s such a simple design that there was really nothing to it .. I think the o-ring grooves should be cut a bit narrower than recommended in the standard gland tables - to keep the rings from rolling. When a static seal is made pushing the ring in one direction, the rings tend to jam in the other direction.

Small improvements can always be made, but it works fine!

Have you added the valve to a cannon now?
