Temperature dropage of compressed air

I'm having problems with Co2 and nitrogen compromising the durability of PVC 40 and 80.

Does anyone know of a compressed air that does not cause a massive temperature drop besides hand pumping the chamber?

I am not completely sure, but I think helium might be the gas you are looking for because it warms up as it expands.

you could always use an air compressor, or get one of those big tanks that you fill with an air compressor that people use to power pneumatic tools/blow guns

EDIT: nitrogen doesnt experience a temperature change when compressed. it may heat up a little, but not that much, i play xball, i should know :P

Air compressors work just fine.

paintballuh, is that an Ion in your pic?

one of my friends uses Co2 and Propane to fill his chamber. His chamber shattered like glass when he dropped it. is there anything else besides overpressure that would cause a chamber to shatter?

The chamber was unfilled when it shattered.

Co2 can make pvc brittle (pvc gets brittle when it gets cold).

Make sure your bottle is facing upright to prevent liquid co2 from entering your chamber, I have seen co2 used without fail in pvc before, and inject slowly, 10 psi every 3 seconds should help keep the temperature from getting too low too quick.

What about when expanding or when being transfered from nitro tank to chamber?
